PRESENT MINISTRIES
Church-planting efforts in the capital of Jordan, have been divinely changed by the unprecedented influx of refugees into this tiny nation. Two congregations are heroically attempting to serve more than 19,000 refugee households, including more than 90,000 refugees. Ministry to refugees includes a medical clinic, a dental clinic, schools and micro-enterprise projects, as well as house-church networks. Jordan as a country is roughly the size of the state of Maine with a population of 10.4 million people. Approximately 1.4 million Syrian refugees, 2 million Palestinian refugees and over 1 million Iraqi refugees are now in Jordan. Estimates are that half of these refugees are children. Our leaders call this “a generation without education.” A partnership with ICCM established Connected Communities to help refugee children who cannot attend the public schools.
