Free Methodist World Missions is pleased to welcome two couples recently appointed as extended-term missionaries.
Darin and Jill Land have been appointed as career missionaries to Asia, based in the Philippines. Darin will serve as Asia Regional Assistant with a focus on leadership development. Once Darin and Jill have secured adequate partnership for their Missionary Support Account, they will return to Manila where they have served faithfully for the last seven years. While Darin and Jill will continue their connection with Asia Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary, their primary work will be helping to develop and implement a strategy to train and credential Free Methodist leaders across Asia. They will also help support and launch a new outreach ministry to young adults in metro Manila.
Glenn and Wendy Lorenz, both ordained elders, were appointed as career missionaries in April 2015. After partnership building, the Lorenzes will move to Costa Rica where they will work alongside others to create and facilitate the pastoral formation process for Latin America. Glenn and Wendy began ministry serving churches in California, Michigan and Arizona. While partnership building, Glenn will continue to lead the Ministry and Theology Department at Central Christian College in McPherson, KS, while Wendy serves as Pastor to Children and their Families at McPherson FMC, KS. Glenn and Wendy have four children: Libby, Isaac, Jakin and Ellia.
