PRESENT MINISTRIES
There are now two churches meeting at Corroios, led by Eduardo and Cindi Angelo, and one in the center of Lisbon, led by the Angelos along with Santiago and Laysse Magalhães. The Portuguese churches regularly sponsor worship, awakening and missionary conferences that serve to build up the body of Christ. These congregations are also known for their excellent music ministry. A seminary was established to train and form church planters, pastors and cell-group leaders. The Barnabas Project has provided food and assistance to low-income families and homeless. Cida Matos, another missionary from Brazil, has been serving since 2000, leading the cell-group network in Portugal. The work is challenging as Portugal is resistant to the gospel, evidenced by the involvement in idolatry, witchcraft and magic.
