FMC IN TAIWAN

PRESENT MINISTRIES

Taiwan is an evangelistic, church-planting conference, dynamic and well-organized. While experiencing membership growth within its boundaries, the FMC in Taiwan has also been exercising vigorous missionary vision outside its borders. The evangelistic challenge is still great within Taiwan. The hope is that well-placed and focused missionaries will complement the goals of the Taiwan church. Holy Light Seminary serves as a training center for church leaders and missionaries. The first Vietnamese FM church in Taiwan was launched in 2008.

OUTREACH TO THE WORLD

Free Methodists in Taiwan support ministries among the Chinese and the Chin tribal people in Yangon, a major city in Myanmar. Taiwan oversees leadership development in creative access areas.

ORIGINS

Free Methodist work began in the late 1940s when missionaries joined the massive migration from China as Communist forces overtook the mainland.
