PRESENT MINISTRIES
El Salvador is currently under the supervision of the Mission District from a neighboring country. A missionary team from this neighboring country regularly comes to serve and train leaders preparing them to become a separate mission district. The work is growing in the heart of San Salvador, serving in Central America’s smallest and most densely populated country.
ORIGINS
Jose Eduardo Rauda, a FM pastor in Texas had to return to his home country of El Salvador with his family in the early 1990’s due to changes in immigration policies. Despite the ongoing civil war, Pastor Rauda began evangelizing and planted a congregation. In 1995 Free Methodist World Missions became aware of his work and officially incorporated the church into the Free Methodist family when he returned to the U.S.
