Pray For

  • discipleship of the many new believers
  • a continued harvest and planting of new churches
  • missionaries to be called to Bangkok and southern Thailand to establish new work
  • young Thai leaders to be identified, equipped and deployed as pastors and leaders in the FMC
  • provision and direction for their various ministries including ICCM and In Better Hands

     

     

PRESENT MINISTRIES

The work in Thailand continues to grow under the capable leadership of Pastor Joshua, who serves as superintendent and pastor of the Chiang Mai FMC. The vision of FM Thailand is to evangelize, mentor, make disciples and serve. They have grown from only 25 members in 2017 to more than 2,000. There were 571 new believers, 104 baptisms and three churches planted in 2024. Ministries include shared sustainability, helping homeless families, visiting the sick and international outreach to Creative Access-LO. 

ORIGINS

In July 2000, Art and Pat Chutong began Free Methodist missions work in Thailand in cooperation with the Pacific Northwest Conference of FMCUSA.

Funding the Thailand Church Planting & Development (CPD) account will help resource the following people and strategic initiatives:

  • Support for church planting efforts in areas where ministry and growth require years of effort before progress is seen.
  • Resources to help church planters minister effectively.
  • Community Church Planting trainers and materials to enable church planting and multiplication through effective discipleship.

Extra Mile Project

 

Creative Access Bible Translation

This fund supports a Bible translation project in a Creative Access country and is part of a cooperative effort between several different ministry organizations, all working together to see the Bible translated into a new language for the first time.
