FMWM-Asia: Advancing the Kingdom Through Biblical Interdependence

The Free Methodist Church in Asia is a dynamic, growing movement committed to making disciples, planting churches and transforming communities with the power of the gospel. Spanning 24 countries, FMWM-Asia partners with national leaders, missionaries and local churches to bring the hope of Christ to some of the world’s most spiritually and economically challenging regions. From the bustling urban centers of East Asia to the rural villages of South and Southeast Asia, the mission remains the same: to see lives changed by the gospel, churches thriving in biblical truth, and communities experiencing holistic transformation.

At the heart of our mission is Better Together, a biblical model of interdependence that rejects the false dichotomy of dependence and independence. The global church is strongest when every part of the body works together  ̶  praying, serving and sacrificing for one another. We are committed to raising national leaders, equipping emerging generations and fostering deep partnerships to allow the church in Asia to flourish.

The challenges are great. Many of the countries we serve face increasing persecution, government restrictions and economic hardship. Our leaders navigate complex cultural and religious landscapes as they bring the gospel to unreached and under-resourced communities. Yet, despite these challenges, the Holy Spirit is at work. Thousands are coming to Christ, new churches are being planted, and discipleship movements are taking root. The Free Methodist Church in Asia is not merely surviving – it is thriving.

Your prayers are essential to this mission. Please intercede for:

  • Strength and wisdom for leaders – Pray for national superintendents, pastors and emerging leaders to be Spirit-filled, strong in faith and equipped for ministry.
  • Church growth and discipleship – Ask God to bless church-planting efforts, deepen discipleship and call leaders with integrity and passion.
  • Perseverance amid persecution – Many believers face opposition for their faith. Pray for courage, protection and bold witness.
  • Strategic partnerships and resources – Pray for strong collaborations between missionaries, national leaders and international partners.
  • Unity in the global church – Ask God to strengthen biblical interdependence, fostering humility and generosity for the gospel.

Thank you for standing with FMWM-Asia. Through prayer and partnership, we witness God’s unstoppable movement in this region.

̶   Rev. Dr. Eric, Asia Area Director

About the Better Together Events

Better Together Events offer Asian leaders an opportunity to gather in one place for inspiration and unity. These events also help catalyze FMWM Asia’s vision to influence one million Asians for Jesus, which requires training 10,000 national leaders from nearly twenty nations. Better Together Events are vital for leadership development and implementation of the vision.

About the Asia Pacific FM Scholarship Fund

Funds from this project support leadership development for FM graduate students in Asia.

About the Bible for Every Believer Fund

This fund provides Bibles for new believers in Asia. These are usually given when the person is baptized.

People all over the world are searching for the truth. And every year, thousands accept the truth of Jesus Christ through FM ministries (5,000 per year in India alone!). But their search continues as they seek to grow deeper and deeper in their faith …

Many lack a necessary tool – God’s written Word. For only $5, you can provide a new believer on the mission field with a Bible in their own language. Your gift will touch your fellow believer’s heart, allow for vital spiritual growth, and multiply the church around the world. Who can imagine how many souls might be touched and come to know Christ through one mature believer who was properly nourished by the Word of God?
