El Salvador is a poor, insecure, corrupt country with few opportunities for personal improvement and employment. The country is plagued by gangs, drugs, misery, mourning and kidnappings. These have caused the migration epidemic expelling millions of Salvadorans from their land. The church in the capital city, San Salvador, has built a facility with the help of VISA teams. The Guatemalan “Jesús mi Amado” District of the Mid-America Confernce has also started work in El Salvador.
